Election 2008: Voter participation resources
If you work in an agency serving families and children, or if you're active in a community organization, you're an important part of families' lives--so you can be most effective at persuading them to vote. How to go about it? Here are some resources from the Children's Advocate:
- 10 Steps to voting power offers ways children's organizations can encourage parents and others to vote. In English and Spanish.
- "Why Should I Vote?" is a reproducible, bilingual cartoon flyer about why parents and others should vote. English and Spanish.
- Getting out the vote for kids describes 2004 "get out the vote" campaigns by children's organizations and provides voting and election resources. In English and Spanish.
- Stay tuned for our September special election issue with information on presidential candidates and ballot measures affecting kids.
